Who publishes this site?
CommunityCalculator is published by AxeConstruct, a developer of digital solutions for engineering and construction. AxeConstruct builds software for structural calculations and construction workflow optimisation, distributed as mobile applications on Google Play.
CommunityCalculator is its free, browser-based arm: the same calculation work, opened up to anyone who needs a number quickly and does not want to install anything.

What is on the site?
The tools are grouped into five areas, most of them growing out of the construction and engineering work AxeConstruct does day to day:
- Construction & measurement — cubic yards, concrete, asphalt, square footage, feet and inches.
- Math — scientific, quadratic, polynomial, factoring, percentages.
- Time & dates — date differences, age, durations, countdowns.
- Finance — loan repayment, invoices, crypto rates.
- Health & lifestyle — BMI, calories, mean arterial pressure.
How are the calculators built?
Every calculation runs in your browser
Nothing you type is sent to a server. The formulas are written into the page itself, which is why the tools keep working when your connection drops and why we have no calculation data to store, sell or lose. The one exception is the cryptocurrency converter, which has to request a live exchange rate from CoinGecko — that request contains no personal data.
The formula is always shown
A calculator that only returns a number is impossible to check. Each tool states the formula it applies and works through at least one example with real figures, so you can verify the result by hand or understand why it differs from another source. The mean arterial pressure calculator, for example, shows why the diastolic value is doubled rather than simply averaged.
Conversion factors are the defined ones
Unit conversions use the internationally agreed exact definitions, not approximations copied from other sites: one inch is exactly 2.54 centimetres, one foot exactly 0.3048 metres, one pound exactly 0.45359237 kilograms, one acre exactly 43 560 square feet. Where a factor shown on a page is rounded, the page says so and gives the exact definition behind it.
Money is rounded the way money behaves
Tools that handle prices round to the cent the way a shop or a group of friends would, not the way binary floating point does. When a bill is split and the division is not exact, the share is rounded up so that what everyone puts in actually covers the total — and the page tells you how many extra cents that represents.
Limits, and what to do about them
These tools are provided for information and estimation. They are useful for planning, ordering materials, checking homework or sanity-checking a figure — they are not a substitute for professional judgement.
- Construction estimates ignore site-specific factors: waste, over-excavation, compaction, delivery minimums and local material densities. Always add your own allowance, and have a qualified professional validate quantities before ordering for a real project.
- Health tools such as BMI, calorie and blood pressure calculators produce general reference figures. They do not account for individual medical context and are not a diagnosis. Discuss any concerning result with a clinician.
- Financial tools use simplified models. Real loan offers include fees, insurance and rate conditions that change the total cost.
Tell us and we will check it. Send the tool name, the values you entered and the result you expected to contact@axeconstruct.com. Corrections to the calculation engines are made directly on the site — errors reported this way have already been fixed in the past.
Advertising and affiliate links
A small number of pages link to products on Amazon. Those links are marked as sponsored, and a visible notice appears above them: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Product categories are recommended on their merits — no manufacturer pays for placement, and no review on this site has been sponsored.
Privacy
We do not require an account and we do not collect the values you type into the calculators. Full details are in the privacy policy, and publication details are in the legal notice.
Get in touch
Tool suggestions, bug reports, corrections and partnership enquiries all go to the same address: contact@axeconstruct.com. You can also use the contact page. We read everything, and the tools people ask for most often are the ones that get built next.
