How to use the cute calculator
- Tap the pastel keys — or just type on your keyboard — to build your calculation. The small grey line shows the expression, the big line shows the live result as you type.
- Press = to lock the answer in. Mochi makes heart eyes, and the calculation is stored in the history (🕘 in the top bar, last 20 kept).
- Tap the big result to copy it to your clipboard.
- Switch modes with the pink chips: Standard, Scientific, Converter, Percent, Deal & Tip and Times table.
- On a phone, tap ⛶ in the top bar: the calculator fills the whole screen like an
app, keys stretched to the bottom edge. Tap ✕ (or press
Esc) to come back to the page.
Six calculators in one cute shell
Standard
The everyday four-function calculator, with a percent key, a sign flip and a live preview of the result while you are still typing. Nothing is rounded behind your back: results keep full precision and only switch to scientific notation past 1016.
Scientific
Adds sin, cos and tan (toggle DEG / RAD in the top bar), natural log,
log base 10, square root, x², xʸ, factorial, 1/x, parentheses and a memory row (MC, MR, M+). Implicit
multiplication is understood, so 2π and 3sin(30) both work, and a missing
closing bracket is added for you. If you prefer a full-size layout, the
scientific calculator has one.
Converter
Eight offline categories — length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, time and data — with a swap button. For long conversion tables and per-unit pages, see the unit converter and the feet and inches converter.
Percent
The three questions people actually ask: X % of Y, X is what % of Y, and the change from Y to Z. Tap a field to aim the keypad at it. The dedicated percentage calculator covers the same maths with worked examples.
Deal & Tip
Type a price, tap a discount (−10 %, −20 %, −30 %, −50 %), a tip (+10 %, +15 %, +20 %) and a split (÷2, ÷3, ÷4). You get the final price, how much you save, and the share per person rounded up to the cent so the money collected always covers the bill — with a note telling you the extra cents when the division is not exact.
Times table
Pick any number from 1 to 12 and the full table appears, from ×1 to ×12 — handy for homework help without opening a second tab.
Pink, aesthetic and dark calculator themes
Two complete themes ship with this cute calculator online: Mochi, the classic pink calculator palette, and Butterfly, a warm monarch orange where little butterflies flutter around the mascot. The ♥ / 🦋 button swaps them, and 🌙 switches to a cozy night palette that is easy on the eyes at 2 a.m. — so the same tool works as a soft aesthetic calculator for a light desk setup or a low-glare one for late-night revision.
Tap the mascot itself to change who is watching you calculate: the cat 🐱, the bunny 🐰 or the bear 🐻. They react as you work — happy on a digit, surprised on an operator, hearts on =, and sleepy 💤 after a few seconds of quiet. Your theme, mascot and dark-mode choices are remembered in your browser.

Why use a cute calculator?
A cute calculator is not only about looks. Pastel colours, soft rounded keys and a mascot that answers you make a boring task — homework, a shopping total, a shared restaurant bill — feel lighter, which is exactly why aesthetic desk setups took over Studygram and TikTok. A kawaii calculator on your phone screen also survives the one thing a physical device cannot: you always have it with you, and it never runs out of batteries.
If you would rather have a physical one on your desk, our cute calculator buying guide reviews the best pink, pastel and mechanical-switch models of 2026 — the online tool on this page is the free alternative that costs nothing and matches every desk.
Frequently asked questions
Is this cute calculator free to use?
Yes. It is completely free, needs no account and no download. It runs in your browser, so it works on a phone, a tablet or a laptop.
Does the cute calculator work offline?
Every calculation, including the unit converter, runs locally in your browser with no server call. Once the page is loaded it keeps working even if your connection drops.
Can I use my keyboard instead of clicking the keys?
Yes — see the shortcut table above. Digits, operators, brackets, ^ and ! all
work, Enter calculates, Backspace deletes and Esc clears.
How do I get a pink calculator theme or dark mode?
The heart button switches between the pink Mochi theme and the orange monarch Butterfly theme, and the moon button turns on the night palette. Your choice is remembered for your next visit.
Does it do scientific calculations?
Yes. Scientific mode adds trigonometry in degrees or radians, logarithms, roots, powers, factorials, parentheses and a memory row.
Can I use the cute calculator full screen on my phone?
Yes. The ⛶ button in the top bar makes the calculator fill the whole screen like a
phone app, with the keypad stretched down to the bottom edge and the browser bar tinted to match your
theme. Tap ✕ or press Esc to return to the page.
Can it calculate a discount, a tip or a split bill?
The Deal & Tip mode does all three, and the per-person share is always rounded up to the cent so the pot covers the bill.
